About Me

My name is Lili Banta, and I am a wildlife photographer with a deep commitment to conservation and environmental storytelling. I use photography as a tool to bridge the gap between people and the natural world — capturing not just the beauty of wildlife, but the urgency of protecting it. My work focuses primarily on birds and other often-overlooked species that exist at the edges of urban and wild spaces. I believe that when people are able to see these animals up close — in moments of stillness, flight, and vulnerability — they’re more likely to care about what happens to them.

With a background in behavioral economics and clinical mental health, my approach is rooted in the idea that connection leads to action. I aim to create images that evoke emotion and foster a sense of stewardship. Whether documenting migratory patterns, habitat disruption, or everyday wildlife interactions, my goal is to tell stories that matter — stories that can inspire conservation, policy change, and a greater respect for the ecosystems around us.

In all of my work, I advocate for ethical wildlife photography practices and emphasize coexistence, education, and empathy. Conservation begins with awareness, and I hope my images serve as both a reflection of what’s at stake and a call to preserve it.
